SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School

About The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a critical role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and reach their individual goals.

  • Supporting students with:
    • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
    • ADHD
    • Speech and Language needs
    • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
    • Moderate learning difficulties

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should ideally have:

  • Degree-level qualifications in education, psychology, childcare, or equivalent fields.
  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (if experienced).
  • Relevant experience in schooling, care, support work, youth work, or coaching.
  • A patient, positive, and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication skills, especially when building trust with pupils, staff, and families.
