Dringhouses Primary School is seeking to recruit a SEN Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work with our children in the classroom and deliver interventions under the direction of the class teacher to support access to learning.
Are you the person we’re looking for?
We’re looking for someone to work with our fantastic children here at Dringhouses Primary. We need someone who is enthusiastic, motivated, and with a great sense of humour.
The successful applicant will be someone who understands the importance of building secure, caring, and trusting relationships - encouraging and modelling resilience, growth, and repair. As well as someone who can keep up with the demands of busy, adventurous, and at times challenging learners.
Responsibilities will include working collaboratively with the teaching team to support delivery of the Dringhouses Discovery Curriculum in a more specialised small group setting.
Qualifications And Experience Required
- Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent
- Experience in a classroom environment, especially supporting children within mainstream primary within the last 2 years
- Knowledge of the national primary curriculum
- Knowledge/Experience of working with children with a range of SEN needs
- A team teach qualification would be desirable, if not already held, a willingness to complete this training.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to plan and organise and to use own initiative
- The ability to assist with assessment and monitoring of pupil progress
- Committed to maintaining high standards
- Flexible and a team player

This is a full-time, term-time only, fixed-term contract until the end of the 26/27 academic year.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am-15:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.
