About The Setting
Our SEN school is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment where every child can thrive. They cater to students with a range of special educational needs, and their dedicated team works tirelessly to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
Role and Responsibilities
- Support students with varying special educational needs, including those with challenging behavior.
- Assist with classroom activities, ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
- Provide personal care when necessary, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene support.
- Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
- Foster a nurturing and supportive atmosphere to encourage student engagement and participation.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver comprehensive care and education.

Requirements
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to manage and positively respond to challenging behavior.
- Willingness to provide personal care as needed.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are essential due to the school's location and potential off-site activities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
