Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to SEN students, addressing their individual learning needs and goals
- Develop and implement customised learning plans that incorporate a range of teaching methodologies and assistive technologies
- Monitor student progress, adjusting your approach as necessary to ensure continuous academic and personal growth
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated support system for each student
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate effectively with the wider educational team
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SEN teaching strategies and incorporate innovative techniques into your practice
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment that fosters the confidence and self-esteem of your students
Requirements
- Relevant teaching qualification or experience working with SEN students
- Thorough understanding of the diverse learning needs and challenges faced by SEN students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities effectively
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the academic and personal growth of SEN students
- Willingness to continuously learn and adapt your teaching approach to meet the evolving needs of your students
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a SEN Tutor or in a similar role
- Specialised training or qualifications in specific SEN areas (e.g., dyslexia, autism, ADHD)

- Proficiency in using assistive technologies and educational software to enhance learning
