Rikama Education is a trusted partner to Kent County Council, specialising in experienced SEN tuition support for Children and Young People (CYP) across Kent. We are seeking dedicated and experienced professionals to join our team as SEN Tutors in Sittingbourne, delivering personalised 1:1 home and virtual tuition to learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
This role is ideal for:

About the Role
As a SEN Tutor, you will deliver between 10–20 hours per week of exceptional support in alignment with a young person’s EHCP or care package. Working primarily in family homes or virtually, you will collaborate closely with parents, multi-agency professionals, and Kent County Council SEN teams to maximise progress.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured 1:1 SEN tuition in Sittingbourne, often providing home-based provision.
- Support CYP with EHCPs and complex additional needs, including:
- Autism (ASD)
- ADHD
- SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
- Anxiety and EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance)
- Moderate learning difficulties
- Medical needs or complex profiles
- Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning goals.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and parents.
- Provide progress reports adhering to Kent County Council standards.
Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate: ✅ QTS / QTLS (strongly preferred) or substantial experience as:
- A SEN Tutor
- Teacher specialising in alternative provision or home tuition
