Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) - Split Role (Greens Norton Primary School & Welford Sibbertoft & Sulby Endowed School)

We are looking for a SENCO to work two days a week:
- One day at Greens Norton Primary School (covering Maternity Leave)
- One day at Welford Sibbertoft and Sulby, Endowed School (permanent post)
Structure:
- 5.5 hours permanent (Welford)
- 5.5 hours fixed-term cover (Greens Norton)
About the Role
As SENCO, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality SEND provision, ensuring all pupils with additional needs receive the support needed to thrive. You’ll collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies while fostering an inclusive ethos.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Lead and develop inclusive practice in two schools.
- Ensure high-quality SEND provision aligned with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Support teaching staff in implementing, reviewing, and adapting SEN Support Plans.
- Collaborate with external agencies (e.g., LA, therapists, social services) to secure funding and strategies.
- Advise SLT on CPD initiatives and mentor colleagues.
- Champion data-led decision-making for additional support applications.
- Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, staff, and external professionals.

Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to qualify).
- Proven experience supporting pupils with diverse SEND needs in primary settings.
- Strong SEND Code of Practice knowledge and ability to:
- Prioritise flexibly based on pupil needs.
- Formulate, implement, and review support strategies.
- Lead curriculum adjustments for inclusive learning.
- Leadership skills in:
- Managing support staff to deliver outstanding provisions.
- Mentoring colleagues on inclusive teaching.
- Administrative competency for: -说过申请 (governing body fund applications).
- Exemplary communication with families, professionals, and educators.
- Commitment to professional development and organisational excellence.

Essential Criteria (on application form):
