SEND Mentors, Tutors & Support Workers – Wokingham Area

Quantum Scholars is expanding its network of SEND Tutors, Mentors, LSAs, Teaching Assistants, Behaviour Mentors, Youth Workers, Pastoral Support Staff, and Support Workers across Wokingham and the surrounding area.
With a substantial increase in EOTAS and Alternative Provision referrals expected from September 2026, we are now looking to grow our local team ahead of the new academic year. We anticipate a wide range of flexible opportunities becoming available across the area.
Many of the young people we support are currently unable to access mainstream education, often facing needs relating to:
- SEND
- SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health)
- Autism, ADHD, anxiety
- Trauma-related challenges
- Medical conditions
- Behavioural challenges
- EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance)

Support Model
- 1:1 delivery with both primary and secondary-aged learners
- Matches based on your confidence level and experience
- Sessions primarily face-to-face in the student’s home or community setting
- Occasional online opportunities for flexibility
Flexibility & Availability
- Hours are highly flexible, adapting to your schedule and local demand
- Options range from a few hours per week to longer-term commitments

What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting children or young people
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A calm, patient, and adaptable approach
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Ability to travel across Wokingham and surrounding areas
