SEND Administrative Assistant (Saxon Mount School)

Part-time, Term-time only – Special Educational Needs (SEND) Administrative Assistant

Hours of work: 32.5

Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (Salary adjusted pro rata)

Affiliation with the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018 – Applicable to this role.

We seek a dedicated and compassionate SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Administrative Assistant to administer and coordinate Special Educational Needs provision.

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Empathy, professionalism, and exceptional organisational skills.
  • The ability to deliver administrative processes with both efficiency and sensitivity.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves:

  • Communicating clearly and professionally with:

    • Pupils
    • Parents/carers
    • Staff
    • External agencies
  • Maintaining accurate and well-presented administrative records.

  • Supporting Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) administration, ensuring full compliance and adherence to deadlines.

  • Taking clear, concise notes during meetings, including:

    • Annual reviews
    • Multi-agency collaborations
  • Assisting in the preparation and organisation of documents, reports, and procedural materials.

  • Ensuring all paperwork meets a high professional standard and is securely stored in compliance with data protection regulations.

To perform effectively within this role, the candidate must demonstrate:

Candidates with relevant administrative experience and knowledge of SEND-specific processes and EHCP procedures are particularly welcomed.
