As one of the fastest-growing Colleges in the UK, delivering courses from entry level to Masters degrees, Weston College is an inspiring place to work. Join our team as a SEND Job Coach in this full-time (37 hours per week, all-year-round) role based across our Weston-super-Mare campuses.
About the Role
This critical position requires interviews conducted on-site at one of our campuses in Weston-super-Mare. As a SEND Job Coach, your duties will span assessment, intervention, and support delivery to help students with special educational needs achieve sustainable employment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Tracking
- Conduct thorough Initial Needs Assessments and Vocational Profiling (alongside other tailored assessments) to identify support requirements.
- Effectively track and monitor student progress, ensuring alignment with successful outcomes.
Job Coaching & Standards Adherence
- Proactively deliver job coaching services while adhering to:
- The SEND Code of Practice
- Supported Employment National Occupational Standards

Support Programme Management
- Plan, monitor, and review individualised support programmes.
- Ensure compliance with all elements specified in a student’s Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and provide seamless tracking of progress.
Collaboration with EHCP Team
- Closely liaise with the EHCP Coordinator to:
- Facilitate a smooth process for EHCP applications.
- Develop and finalise required documentation.
- Ensure statutory compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications

| Experience | Proven track record of successful learning support and job coaching with demonstrable paid employment outcomes. |
| Conditions & Disabilities | Deep knowledge of how learning difficulties/disabilities impact education and employment accessibility strategies. |
| Methodologies | Expertise in evidence-based job coaching and modern learning strategies. |
