SEND Learning Support - Somerset

SEND Mentors, Tutors & Support Workers – Somerset

About the Role

Quantum Scholars is expanding its Somerset team ahead of a busy September 2026, expecting a high volume of SEND, EOTAS (Education Other Than At School), and Alternative Provision referrals. As demand grows, we are recruiting:

  • SEND Tutors
  • Mentors
  • Learning Support Assistants (LSAs)
  • Teaching Assistants
  • Behaviour Mentors
  • Youth Workers
  • Pastoral Support Staff
  • SEND Support Workers

We’re looking for dedicated professionals who thrive on helping vulnerable young people overcome challenges and succeed. Our learners often face difficulties accessing mainstream education due to SEND, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), autism, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, medical conditions, behavioural challenges, or EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance).

This opportunity is ideal for:

  • Experienced SEND tutors
  • Classroom teachers seeking a flexible new role
  • Supply teachers wanting greater autonomy
  • Experienced support workers

Working with Us

Support is delivered in a 1:1 setting, tailored to the needs of primary or secondary-aged learners. You’ll work primarily in:

  • The learner’s home
  • A suitable community setting
  • Occasionally online where appropriate

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
