Our Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Hanham, is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join our team. You will play a key role in working 1-1 with a child requiring additional support and that will be your main focus as well as caring for, supporting, and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity, and helping them thrive every day.

The hours are 30x hours on a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, more can be discussed on an initial call.

About Our Nursery

Our bright and airy nursery features four spacious rooms—Discoverers, Explorers, Creators, and Inventors—designed to support children at every stage of development. Each room is filled with natural light and high-quality, mostly natural resources to encourage learning and creativity.

Our expansive outdoor space includes two large grassed areas, with free-flow access all year round so children can explore and enjoy the outdoors in all weathers.

Location and Travel

Located near Hanham Methodist Church, our Kiddi Caru Day Nursery and Preschool sits within a picturesque eco village near Hanham Hall.

We are surrounded by green spaces and local parks, all within walking distance. With close access to the local high street and ring road, the nursery is a great option for commuting families traveling by car.

We also have a café and gym next door for added convenience.

What Will You Be Doing

  • Acting as a liaison between parents and staff regarding each child’s day
  • Ensuring children are supervised, supported, and comfortable throughout the day
  • Planning and delivering activities that are suitable and age-appropriate
  • Ensuring Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are in place and followed
  • Collecting, recording, and updating relevant information for children with SEND
  • Keeping up to date with initiatives and best practice
  • Completing all relevant training
  • Helping maintain an attractive and welcoming environment
  • Following all company policies, procedures, and operational practices
  • Maintaining a positive attitude with children, parents, visitors, and colleagues
  • Attending staff meetings, planning sessions, and required training
