SEND Officer – Grade 8, SCP 18–21

Outwood Academy Normanby Term-Time Only (35hrs, Mon–Fri 8:00–3:30) + 5 Days

Location: South Bank, Grangetown and Eston, Teesside

The Role

We seek a passionate SEND Officer (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) to ensure statutory compliance with Sections 6 and 9 of the SEND Code of Practice while driving tailored interventions. As a leadership role within SEND provision, you will:

  • Leading and delivering end-to-end formal SEND processes, including EHCP reviews and governance documentation.
  • Monitoring, overseeing, and developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and One Page Profiles for all registered SEND students.
  • Managing Teaching Assistants and ensuring they deliver the most effective support.
  • Providing training and guidance to staff on differentiation and decision-making.
  • Complying with JCQ’s Exam Access Arrangement guidelines.
  • Overseeing outcome measures and tracking student needs to enhance provision.
