Leader Group is proud to be partnering with a renowned Therapeutic Education Service provider to recruit passionate Teachers and Support Staff. We currently have an outstanding opportunity available for a qualified SEND Teacher in Taunton.
About The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a specialist team supporting students with complex educational needs, including social, emotional and mental health challenges, communication difficulties, and trauma-related behaviours. As part of a nurturing and innovative team, your responsibilities will include:
- Teaching and supporting students with a range of special educational needs (SEN).
- Delivering engaging English lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Setting, marking and providing constructive feedback on assignments, homework, and assessments.
- Supporting pupils in gaining a strong command of spoken and written English, enabling them to communicate confidently and effectively.

Ideal Candidate
We are seeking someone who is:
- Passionate about working with students with SEND.
- Experienced – ideally with at least 2 years in a SEND environment or similar provision.
- Qualified – QTS/QTLS is essential.
- Committed to creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment.

About the School
This co-educational provision supports pupils aged 7-19 and offers a highly personalised education programme. The school is designed for students who have not thrived in mainstream settings and require a more therapeutic approach to learning. Many of the pupils have experienced trauma or have complex emotional and social difficulties. That’s why we go beyond the typical classroom, providing specialised interventions and a team-based approach to helping young people reach their potential.
