SEND Subject Tutors Required – Wokingham Area
Primary & Secondary | 1:1 Tuition | September 2026 Opportunities
Quantum Scholars is expanding its network of SEND Subject Tutors across Wokingham and the surrounding areas.
With more referrals for EOTAS and Alternative Provision expected starting September 2026, we are now seeking experienced tutors and qualified teachers to deliver specialist 1:1 tuition across a range of curriculum subjects.
Our students are often unable to access mainstream education and may have needs such as:
- SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
- SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health)
- Autism
- ADHD
- Trauma or anxiety-related challenges
- Medical conditions or behavioural difficulties
- EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance)
We’re particularly interested in candidates who have expertise in supporting 1:1 SEND tuition in the following subjects:

This role is ideal if you’re:
- An experienced classroom teacher looking for a change from mainstream education
- A supply teacher wanting more flexibility
- A highly qualified tutor passionate about working with vulnerable students
Tuition is delivered 1:1 with students from primary to secondary age (up to 16 years old). Tutors are carefully matched based on subject expertise, age group confidence, and learner needs.
Sessions typically take place face-to-face in a student’s home or a suitable community setting, with select online opportunities where required. Hours are flexible—ideal for tutors with varying commitments.

What We’re Looking For
✅ Experience teaching or tutoring children and young people ✅ Strong subject knowledge in your specialist area(s) ✅ Experience working with SEND pupils (advantageous) ✅ Excellent communication and relationship-building skills ✅ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) ✅ Availability to travel across Wokingham and surrounding areas
