SENse Learning is offering a unique opportunity for passionate teachers to make a real difference with our SEND Teacher roles. Work across specialisms as a SEND Tutor, Intervention Tutor, and Specialist Teacher, providing one-to-one support for young people who need it most.

📌 SEND Teacher Role Requirements
- Experience:
- 2+ years’ post-NQT teaching (preferably with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD).
- Demonstrated ability to teach in a child-centred, holistic, trauma-informed way.
- Qualifications:
- QTS / QTLS (Qualified Teacher Status / Teaching Qualification London and South East).
- Approach:
- Creativity in adapting the curriculum to each student’s unique needs.
- Compliance:
- Enhanced DBS check (facilitated if needed).
- 2+ professional references.
- Location:
- Must be UK-based with work authorization (requires right to work in UK).
- Safeguarding:
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices and creating safe learning environments.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with children and young people who have experienced prior difficulties in traditional education.
- Provide ta Turnered, hybrid, and remote (in-person/online) teaching for SEMH and SEND support across age groups (KS1–KS5, depending on skillset).
- Plan, deliver, and report on tutoring sessions aligned with:
- Student’s person-centred EHCP plans (Education, Health and Care Plans).
- Individual psychological assessments & risk management needs.
- Tailor support to each young person’s educational requirements, ensuring flexibility, inclusivity, and trauma sensitivity.
