- Are Empathetic
- You have a person-first approach and can see the world through a student's eyes.
- Are Resilient
- You stay calm under pressure and can handle challenging behavior with a professional, de-escalating approach.
- Have Experience
- Previous experience with SEND (in schools, care, or personal life) is highly desirable.
- Are a Communicator
- You can work effectively with teachers, parents, and external therapists to follow EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) targets.

Your Core Responsibilities
- Support
- Work 1:1 or in small groups to make the curriculum accessible (e.g., using visual timetables or sensory breaks).
- Nurture
- Help students develop social skills and emotional regulation.
- Observe
- Keep track of progress against EHCP goals and provide feedback to the SENCO.
- Safeguard
- Maintain a safe, inclusive environment where every student feels valued.
