Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs?

We are working with a highly regarded specialist education provider in Hampshire that supports children and young people with Autism, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs), attachment difficulties and associated challenging behaviours. The setting offers small class sizes, high staff-to-student ratios and a therapeutic approach to learning.

We are looking for caring, resilient and proactive Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants to join the team immediately and for September starts.

The Role

  • Supporting students both academically and emotionally
  • Working within small class groups
  • Building positive relationships with young people
  • Supporting behaviour strategies and individual learning plans
  • Helping students access education and achieve positive outcomes
  • Working closely with teachers and wider support staff

Ideal Candidates Will Have

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, SEMH, care or youth work backgrounds
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A calm, patient and adaptable approach
  • Confidence managing challenging behaviour
  • A genuine passion for helping vulnerable young people succeed
  • A Full UK Driving Licence (desirable)

Requirements

  • ✅ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to transfer/register immediately)
  • ✅ Right to Work in the UK
  • ✅ Ability to provide references covering the last 2 years
