SEND Teaching Assistant, RIBBONS AND REEVES

SEND TA – Primary School in Basildon Start Date: September 2026 | Full-Time | Long-Term / Permanent Opportunity

Are you a versatile, flexible and adaptable SEND TA with excellent communication skills, ready to support pupils with additional needs? Ribbons & Reeves are working with a warm, inclusive Primary School in Basildon seeking a committed SEND TA to join their nurturing, child-centred support team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a SEND TA who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to a school known for its strong pastoral care, high expectations, and community-driven ethos. Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND is a must for this role.

The Role As a SEND TA, you will:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND
  • Adapt resources and scaffold learning to ensure accessibility
  • Work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and wider support team
  • Build strong, positive relationships with pupils
  • Support behaviour, engagement, and confidence in the classroom
  • Contribute to the wider school community and uphold its values

This SEND TA role requires someone who is calm, patient, proactive, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Previous experience in a SEND TA role or similar support capacity is essential.
