Flexzo Teach | SEND Tutor (In-Person) Flexzo Teach connects tutors directly with educational settings for short term, long term and ongoing support.

Register to join the local talent pool in Cambridgeshire and start getting matched with students (aged 8–16, mainly secondary-aged) who need your expertise.

Our clients learners often struggle with engagement, transitioning between schools, or accessing standard education. We focus on holistic support - building confidence, boosting engagement, and delivering personalised learning for SEND students, individuals with disabilities, or learners with complex needs.

What you’ll do: Deliver personalised, one-to-one or small group tuition, mainly in-person Adapt lessons to SEND learners’ needs, focusing heavily on engagement and confidence-building Support curriculum-aligned progress in core subjects (primarily Maths and English) at KS1–KS4, GCSE, or Functional Skills level Maintain professional communication and reporting with students, parents, and the client schools

What you need (Essential): Prior tutoring or teaching experience with strong core subject knowledge (Maths and English) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, but not essential if you have substantial classroom or SEND experience Experience tutoring or supporting learners in a structured environment Ability to drive and travel within ~30 minutes of assigned students Right to work in the UK Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one for in-person sessions Fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children Excellent in your communication, timekeeping, reliability, and reporting

What we’d love to see (Desired): Strong SEND experience and a flexible, adaptable approach to varied learning needs Substantial classroom or tutoring experience, especially at the secondary level Confident behaviour management in 1:1 or small group settings Organized, motivated, friendly, and approachable tutors who can engage learners with additional needs
