Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR2C or Leadership Scale (dependent on experience)

Are you an experienced and passionate qualified SENDCo looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people?
A high-performing and inclusive secondary school in Redbridge is seeking an exceptional SENDCO to join its experienced Inclusion Team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a rewarding leadership role within a well-established school that places inclusion, achievement and student wellbeing at the heart of everything it does.
Working alongside experienced SEND leaders, you will play a key role in ensuring that students with SEND, including those receiving SEN Support and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), receive outstanding provision that enables them to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
The school also benefits from an Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP), offering an excellent opportunity to further develop your expertise in inclusive education within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The Role
As SENDCO, You Will
- Lead and develop high-quality SEND provision across the school.
- Coordinate support for students with SEN Support and EHCPs.
- Work closely with teaching staff to promote inclusive, high-quality classroom practice.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, external agencies and the wider pastoral team.
- Monitor student progress, ensuring interventions have measurable impact.
- Support annual reviews and statutory SEND processes.
- Champion inclusion and remove barriers to learning for every student.
- Contribute strategically to the continued development of the school's inclusive practice.
We Are Looking For a SENDCO Who
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has achieved, or is working towards, the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO).
- Has experience working with students with a range of SEND needs within a secondary school.
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.
- Is a confident leader with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Has a genuine passion for ensuring every child achieves their full potential.
- Can build strong relationships with students, families, colleagues and external professionals.
