About the Role
TINK TEAM LTD is a UK-based independent game studio developing three PC games for Steam. We are looking for a Senior 3D Animation & VFX Artist to create and integrate game-ready character animation, rigging, and real-time visual effects.
This is a revenue-share position rather than a monthly salaried role. You will receive an agreed percentage of the game’s revenue after commercial release.
Key Responsibilities
- Create game-ready rigs for characters, creatures, enemies, and bosses.
- Handle skinning, weight painting, and deformation quality.
- Produce gameplay animations, including movement, attacks, skills, reactions, and deaths.
- Prepare and integrate animation assets into Unity.
- Create real-time VFX for attacks, impacts, projectiles, abilities, telegraphs, and environmental effects.
- Coordinate animation timing and VFX to improve gameplay clarity and impact.
- Establish reusable animation, rigging, export, and naming workflows.
- Collaborate with artists, developers, designers, and producers.
- Review work and support less experienced artists when needed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
