We’re looking for a Senior 3D Artist
We’re looking for a Senior 3D Artist to join our award winning team in Middlesbrough (UK), home to the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline and countryside.
About the Role
As a Senior 3D Artist at Double Eleven, you’ll create high-quality props and assets to populate and elevate our game environments. Collaborating closely with the Art Director, Lead Artist, and our experienced Art Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the game’s final visual identity.
What you’ll be doing
- Create high-quality, AAA-standard 3D assets that align with the project's artistic vision, technical requirements, and established production pipelines
- Produce a wide variety of hard surface and organic assets using efficient high-to-low poly workflows, modular construction techniques, and trim sheet methodologies
- Take assets from concept art, reference material, or mood boards through to polished, game-ready implementation with minimal supervision
- Create, export, and implement assets within game engines, ensuring they are correctly configured and meet technical and visual standards.
- Ensure all assets meet agreed benchmarks for modelling, topology, UV layouts, texturing and optimisation
- Collaborate closely with artists, designers, engineers, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality content that supports gameplay and project goals
- Identify and resolve artistic or technical challenges, proactively seeking solutions that balance visual quality with performance
- Plan, manage, and deliver your work to agreed schedules while maintaining a consistently high standard of quality
- Mentor and support other artists by sharing knowledge, providing constructive feedback, and helping to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of art pipelines, workflows, best practices, and quality standards across the team
What we’re looking for
- Excellent proficiency with industry-standard art tools, such as Maya or 3ds Max, Substance Designer/Painter, ZBrush, and Photoshop
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across art, design, engineering, production, and other disciplines
- The ability to critically evaluate your own work, provide constructive feedback to others, and contribute to maintaining high artistic standards across the team
- A solid technical understanding of real-time game development, including creating and optimising assets to meet memory, performance, and gameplay requirements
- Confidence in planning, prioritising, and accurately estimating your own work while delivering to agreed deadlines
- Excellent knowledge of UV layouts, colour theory, composition, and asset presentation
- A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality hard surface and organic environment, prop, or character assets suitable for modern game development
- Excellent understanding of game engines and the technical requirements for implementing high-quality art assets
- Good knowledge of trim sheet workflows and efficient asset creation techniques
- Experience creating high-quality physically based rendering (PBR) materials using modern texturing workflows
- A collaborative mindset with a high level of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a genuine commitment to supporting the wider team
- A passion for creating exceptional game art, continuously improving your craft, and helping others to develop

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
