The Role
As the Senior Account Director for Brand Identity, you will be the strategic and operational lynchpin responsible for orchestrating the visual and verbal identity of our clients' brands globally. You will guide a multi-disciplinary team to ensure absolute brand consistency and elevate the brand identity across all consumer touchpoints. A core facet of this role is leading the integration of cutting-edge AI tools and generative platforms to scale design systems, automate brand governance, and deliver hyper-personalised identity assets without compromising craft or prestige. You will act as the trusted advisor to senior clients, championing innovative, AI-augmented design processes that redefine how luxury brand identities are managed and deployed.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic development, evolution, and global rollout of comprehensive brand identity systems, ensuring absolute consistency across all markets and touchpoints.
- Pioneer the use of WPP Open and other AI-driven design tools to accelerate asset generation, scale design systems, and ensure strict brand identity governance.
- Act as the senior strategic partner for key client stakeholders, building deep, trusted relationships based on a profound understanding of brand architecture and identity principles.
- Oversee the financial and operational health of the brand identity portfolio, driving strong commercial performance, managing profitability, and optimising team resourcing.
- Lead and inspire a cross-functional team of designers, strategists, and account handlers, fostering a culture of creative excellence and continuous technological learning.
- Govern the brand's visual and verbal guardrails, utilising AI compliance tools to monitor and maintain the integrity of the brand identity across thousands of global assets.
- Collaborate seamlessly with wider network agencies to ensure the core brand identity is flawlessly integrated into media, social, digital, and experiential campaigns.

Skills Required
- Brand Identity Expertise: A profound understanding of visual and verbal brand systems, typography, design principles, and brand architecture management at a global scale.
- AI & Tech Fluency: Practical experience and a forward-thinking mindset in utilising AI tools, generative design platforms, and automated governance systems to scale brand identity workflows.
- Senior Client Leadership: Proven track record of guiding senior clients through complex brand transformations and acting as a trusted, authoritative voice on brand guardianship.
- Commercial Acumen: Robust financial stewardship skills, with the ability to manage large-scale design budgets, drive account profitability, and optimise operational efficiencies.
- Integrated Collaboration: Exceptional ability to unite and lead multi-disciplinary teams (strategy, design, and tech) to deliver cohesive, world-class brand experiences.
- Growth Mindset: A continuous desire to learn, experiment with new AI capabilities, and proactively identify areas of improvement within both personal development and team workflows.
