Senior Account Director, Strategic Communications (22908)

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + benefits (in-office, central London)

Our client, an established strategic communications consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Account Director to join its central London team.

About the Role

This is an outstanding opportunity for a dynamic, creative, self-starting strategic advisor to provide senior counsel to CEOs and high-profile clients across:

  • Corporate communications
  • Private office
  • Life sciences
  • Litigation/crisis communications

You will:

  • Lead the development of compelling communications strategies
  • Oversee integrated campaigns
  • Build trusted client relationships
  • Manage day-to-day account delivery
  • Work closely with the firm’s founder and senior leadership
  • Play a key role in mentoring teams, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting growth

Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Delivery

    • Produce comprehensive, thought-out strategy documents for CEO-level clients
    • Present thoughtful strategies to high-level stakeholders
  • Creative Leadership

    • Generate creative ideas and content for campaigns/activations across all platforms
    • Ensure impactful messaging across media, corporate, politics, and crisis scenarios
  • Client Relations

    • Develop trusted relationships with clients at the director/CEO level
    • Assist the Co-Founder and Managing Partner across all client work
  • Account & Team Management

    • Oversee day-to-day account delivery, workflow, deadlines, and reporting
    • Line manage a team of researchers and freelance consultants
    • Ensure specialized oversight of daily/weekly monitoring processes
  • Business Development

    • Identify potential new business leads
    • Contribute to marketing and commercial growth initiatives

Requirements & Skills

  • Experience: 5–10 years across media, corporate communications, and/or politics
  • Campaigns: Proven track record of leading high-impact communications campaigns
  • Writing & Strategy: Exceptional writing and presentation skills
  • Client Leadership: Experience leading at CEO/senior executive level
  • Team Management: Aptitude for managing/high-performing teams
  • Modern Tech: Knowledge of social media, content creation, and evolving AI influence on reputation management
  • Mindset: Proactive, entrepreneurial professional with keen attention to detail
