Salary & Contract

  • Starting salary: £50,000.00 (depending on experience)
  • Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Duration: Permanent
  • Location: Cheltenham

About the Role

Lansdown Insurance Brokers, proudly part of Benefact Group, are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join their Cheltenham office.

As a Senior Account Executive, you’ll play a key role in driving exceptional client service within our Partnership Team at Lansdown. Your responsibilities will include developing and strengthening relationships with Property Manager Agent accounts, ensuring every interaction aligns with our "right first time" approach to customer experience.

You’ll be self-motivated, displaying ambition, drive, and the tenacity to thrive in a fast-paced commercial environment. Your deep understanding of the UK commercial insurance market will allow you to confidently guide clients, anticipate their needs, and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the development, negotiation, and conversion of property insurance opportunities, meeting profitable business & growth objectives.
  • Strengthen partnership accounts through:
    • Regular face-to-face engagement.
    • Offsite meetings and proactive communication.
    • Ensuring Lansdown’s "right first time" customer experience approach is upheld.
  • Manage & nurture commercial & residential property agent accounts, focusing on:
    • Excellent client service to support retention & new business targets.
  • Represent the business at key exhibitions & networking events, staying updated on sector insights and identifying new opportunities.
  • Operate confidently within regulatory frameworks, identifying and escalating risks per FCA & company procedures.

What You’ll Need to Have

Essential Requirements

  • Strong background in commercial insurance with experience in managing commercial & residential property portfolios.
  • Proven success in:
    • Generating new business.
    • Expanding existing account books.
    • Consistently hitting sales targets.
  • Exceptional ability to build trusted relationships with:
    • Clients.
    • Agents.
    • Insurers. Communication is key:
    • Face-to-face meetings.
    • Phone discussions.
    • Written correspondence.
  • Flexibility and dependability under pressure, ensuring workload management while contributing positively to team goals. Adaptable to evolving business needs.
