About the Role
A fast-scaling, well-funded AI company is hiring its first commercial hire on the ground in the UK. Backed by over $20M in seed funding from a top-tier Silicon Valley venture firm, our client has built the first fully agentic AI platform that autonomously runs and scales paid media campaigns across Google, Meta and Microsoft — with more channels on the way. This is a rare, build-from-scratch opportunity to own the UK go-to-market motion, working directly with the founder and US sales leadership.
Their AI agents handle the heavy lifting of cross-platform optimisation and measurement — the biggest headaches for performance marketers — and are already driving a meaningful double-digit uplift in sales and return on ad spend for a growing roster of D2C brands and apps. You'll be the founding UK seller in a genuine player-coach role: own the full sales cycle now, and build and lead a UK team as you prove the market.
What you'll be doing
- Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, self-generating 75%+ of your pipeline through strategic outbound — email, LinkedIn, events and your network across the UK performance marketing and agency ecosystem.
- Identify and win mid-market performance marketers — brands and agencies spending six figures a month on paid media — testing and iterating sales motions to find what's repeatable.
- Partner closely with the US sales team to adapt the GTM strategy for the UK and build a scalable playbook that supports future hires.
- Act as a trusted advisor to marketers, showing how AI agents optimise campaigns, budgets and ROAS across Google, Meta and emerging platforms.
- Grow into a player-coach leader — as you prove the market and build demand, hire and manage additional reps.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for
- 4–8 years' full-cycle sales in AdTech, ad platforms or Marketing SaaS, selling to performance marketers, VPs of Marketing or agency buyers.
- Zero-to-one GTM experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup (Seed–Series B) — you've sold without an established brand or playbook.
- Strong performance marketing knowledge — you can talk ROAS, attribution and media-mix modelling credibly.
- A track record of self-sourcing pipeline (75%+) and active relationships with UK performance agencies or brands.
- Ideally prior experience at a large ad platform (e.g. Google, Meta, Snap) before moving into a startup environment.
- Collaborative and team-oriented — this is not a quota-only 'boiler room'. Based in London; no visa sponsorship available; willing to travel to the US roughly once a month.
What's on offer
- Competitive base with a 50/50 OTE structure — circa £90K–£110K base, ~£185K–£220K OTE — plus meaningful equity in an early-stage business at the earliest possible stage.
- A founding role with a clear path to build and lead the UK team as the market scales.
- Direct exposure to the founder and US leadership, and the chance to shape an entire GTM function from scratch.
- A collaborative, high-calibre, low-ego culture built by ex-big-tech operators and top engineers.
