Senior Account Executive – Marketing & Sales Agency
Based in Reading, working with B2B tech and professional services clients
Our client is a respected leading marketing and sales agency seeking an experienced Senior Account Executive, ideally with a background in marketing and PR.
This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment, ensuring smooth project execution, strong relationships, and commercial success.
About the Role
- Shape the direction of client projects and drive operational excellence
- Maintain clear communication between clients, Agencies and internal teams
- Oversee workflows to meet deadlines with precision-and-professionalism
Key Responsibilities
Client & Relationship Management
- Build deep insights into each client’s brand, objectives and competitive landscape
- Foster strong relationships with client stakeholders and internal teams
- Adopt a proactive approach, anticipating needs before they arise
- Take ownership of smaller projects, delivering autonomy with guidance

Project Delivery & Strategy
- Fully grasp project scope, deadlines and deliverables, advising on optimal pathways
- Document meeting notes meticulously, tracking actions to completion
- Lead consultations, offering insightful questions and recommending tailored solutions
- Challenging client briefs constructively, guiding them towards feasible, high-impact outcomes
Financial & Resource Oversight
- Review proposals and bid estimates before client presentations
- Monitor project profitability, flagging budget deviations early
- Maintain accurate timesheets, WIP reports, and financial trackers
- Assist in estimating, resource allocation and budget management

Commercial Accountability
- Present project ideas and approaches with confidence and clarity
- Mitigate risks proactively, keeping projects on schedule and in scope
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure cost-efficiency and profitability
