Role Description
The Senior Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Cardiff, responsible for leading client relationships and overseeing the execution of media strategies. This role manages day-to-day account activity, including briefing, coordinating, and monitoring media plans, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and in line with performance objectives. The Senior Account Manager will collaborate closely with trading, planning, and activation teams to translate client goals into actionable plans, provide ongoing performance reporting, and recommend optimizations. The role involves preparing and presenting proposals, managing account financials, supporting new business opportunities, and maintaining clear, proactive communication with clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Own and manage a portfolio of Cardiff and Wales-based clients
- Act as the primary point of contact, building long-term trusted relationships
- Maintain and grow existing client spend year-on-year
- Be accountable for commercial retention targets and client value
- Protect and nurture client relationships to ensure deliverables exceed expectations
- Translate client objectives into clear briefs for planning and trading teams
- Ensure media is correctly traded, planned, and activated in line with R4 standards
- Manage campaigns end-to-end with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Identify risks early and resolve issues before they escalate
- Maintain clear documentation, confirmations, and campaign records
Requirements
- Proven experience in account management, ideally within advertising or media
- Strong understanding of media planning and buying (OOH experience preferred)
- Commercially minded, with experience managing client budgets and spend
- Detail-focused, organized, and process-driven
- Confident managing multiple senior client relationships
- Calm, structured, and reliable under pressure
- Cardiff or South Wales based, with strong local market knowledge
