About us
One team. Global challenges. Infinite opportunities. At Viasat, we’re on a mission to deliver connections with the capacity to change the world. For more than 35 years, Viasat has helped shape how consumers, businesses, governments and militaries around the globe communicate. We’re looking for people who think big, act fearlessly, and create an inclusive environment that drives positive impact to join our team.
What you'll do
The Senior Account Manager is an entrepreneurial pioneer and inspiring leader, who is responsible for developing and implementing the go-to-market strategy of multiple products for the assigned partner companies, and must be able to adapt quickly, maximizing Viasat opportunities and profit in this very strategic, and financially critical, B2B role.
The appointee to this position is responsible for developing, building and maintaining a successful relationship between Viasat and its strategic global distribution partners. The individual will use their extensive knowledge of the telecommunications and satellite industry to maximize and maintain revenue through our strategic partners.
This is a leadership role that requires engagement at every functional area of Viasat to align objectives with clear business strategy and outcomes to drive engagement and motivation to succeed. It is not a sales role that simply pushes a partner to generate revenue. The Senior Account Manager must maintain oversight over a complex landscape of technical and business elements in order to optimize success for the business as a whole.
The role holder will need to have sound business and technical acumen to be able to shape and manage the partnerships in a way that optimizes success for Viasat.
The day-to-day
Provide strategic leadership to our global channel partners – these are very large businesses at the Fortune 500 or equivalent level, through which Viasat accesses the aviation connectivity and services market. Influence at the VP to CEO level to strategically position Viasat products and services and to drive new initiatives that deliver revenues as well as build and maintain strong and enduring partnerships.
Engage the partner company at all levels on behalf of Viasat for sales, financial operations, business development, contracts, commercial strategy, terminal strategy, product development, and marketing strategy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
