Role Overview
The Senior Account Manager is a key leadership role, bridging the gap between Account Managers and Directors. In addition to managing client accounts, press strategies, and team operations, this role involves a higher level of strategic input, team leadership, and business development. The Senior Account Manager will have greater autonomy in decision-making and contribute to the agency’s overall direction, ensuring the delivery of exceptional results across Fashion, Beauty, Jewellery, and Lifestyle accounts.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Client Management
- Own and lead key client accounts with minimal oversight, ensuring a strategic and proactive approach.
- Oversee the development of long-term PR strategies, identifying new opportunities to strengthen client positioning.
- Act as a trusted strategic partner for clients, advising on brand messaging, market positioning, and industry trends.
- Take full responsibility for high-profile media and influencer relationships, ensuring best-in-class results.
- Drive a high level of editorial coverage, ensuring strategic placements across top-tier print, digital, and social media platforms.
- Handle complex or sensitive client situations with diplomacy, problem-solving skills, and senior-level professionalism.
Press & Influencer Strategy
- Manage the development of press campaigns, overseeing the execution by Account Executives.
- Cultivate and expand top-tier media and influencer relationships, ensuring continued value for clients.
- Identify and implement new ways to enhance client visibility, including VIP placements, partnerships, and talent collaborations.
- Execute and manage brand and news stories for your clients, with the support of your Account Executive for Product and your Account Director for long read features.
- Oversee the creation of high-impact press materials, including press releases, brand narratives, and media pitches.
Events, Brand Partnerships & VIP Initiatives
- Lead on special projects with a 360 view, from event strategy, guestlist curation, press strategy, and budget management.
- Strategically manage and oversee Fashion Weeks and key brand events, ensuring seamless execution.
- Lead concept development and execution for client events, activations, and collaborations, securing press attendance and press/social coverage.
- Develop long-term VIP strategies, building relationships with stylists and agents for impactful brand placements.
- Drive brand collaboration initiatives, identifying valuable partnerships that align with client objectives.
- Manage client budgets, financial planning ensuring commercial success.

Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor, manage, and oversee Account Executives and placement students, ensuring their development and performance.
- Act as a go-to senior figure within the team, supporting colleagues and providing solutions in high-pressure situations.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance the agency’s PR expertise and professional growth.
- Lead recruitment efforts for junior roles, ensuring the team is aligned with DH-PR’s values and standards.
Operational & Business Development Contributions
- Work closely with Account Directors to refine internal processes, improving efficiency and agency-wide best practices.
- Oversee high-level reporting, ensuring valuable insights and learnings are shared across clients and the agency.
About You
- Minimum 6-7 years’ experience in PR, communications, or media relations, with expertise in fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or luxury sectors.
- Senior-level relationships with key editors, stylists, influencers, and industry leaders.
- Strong leadership experience, with a proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
- Exceptional media and industry relationships, with a track record of securing impactful coverage and brand collaborations.
- Highly strategic and solutions-focused, with the ability to advise senior stakeholders and navigate complex situations.
- Proactive, confident, and self-motivated, able to take full ownership of accounts and projects.
- Strong presentation and pitching skills, with experience leading new business proposals.
- A deep understanding of brand positioning, PR trends, and the evolving media landscape.
- Ability to work at pace and under pressure, with a calm and adaptable approach.
- A team player who mentors and uplifts junior staff while working collaboratively across accounts.
- Committed to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in handling client and agency information.
