Senior Account Manager - Capital Sales, Mako UK

Senior Mako Account Manager – Capital Sales

About the Role

Develops and maintains outstanding relationships with the company’s prospective and installed base customers, and leverages relationships to drive recurrent sales cycles for the company’s products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Cultivating new sales opportunities with the Mako Sales Director and effectively managing leads generated by the company
  • Leading a cross-functional team in executing the sales cycle, including post-sale installation and training activities at customer sites
  • Demonstrating ability to manage capital sales cycles for products exceeding $1,000,000
  • Collaborating with marketing and sales management to develop strategies and selling tools for improved sales effectiveness
  • Successfully navigating sales processes within both budgeted and off-budget environments

Departmental Responsibilities

  • Provides consistent and timely reporting of key account activities, forecasts, and other requirements
  • Leads cross-functional teams supporting sales and post-sale activities across accounts
  • Participates in sales training meetings, trade shows, and company events promoting product visibility

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree: BA/BSc
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in Surgical or Medical capital equipment sales with demonstrable achievement
  • Clinical Expertise: Ability to engagecredibly with surgeons and allied healthcare professionals
  • Financial & Product Communications Skills: Translate clinical benefits to economic value for healthcare providers; comfortable with financial-based selling tools
  • Niche Experience: Preference for experience in surgical orthopedics
  • Territory Management: Proven ability to manage large territories
  • Executive Sales: Prior experience in selling to hospital executives (CEO/CFO/COO)
  • Operational Understanding: Knowledge of hospital financial operations
  • Travel: 75%+ travel commitment
  • Soft Skills: Outstanding presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
