Role Description

The Senior Account Manager – Commercial & Education will manage and grow key accounts within the commercial and education AV sectors, focusing on building long-term relationships and driving revenue. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Swindon, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.

Day-to-day Responsibilities

  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • Promoting RGB’s portfolio of AV and automation solutions
  • Preparing proposals and quotations
  • Overseeing the sales cycle from prospecting through to closing

Collaboration and Support

  • Collaborating closely with internal technical, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure smooth project delivery and high customer satisfaction
  • Providing product guidance
  • Attending client meetings and industry events
  • Maintaining accurate account records and forecasts

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in account management or sales within AV, IT, or related technology sectors, ideally with exposure to commercial and education markets.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and grow strategic accounts.
  • Solid understanding of audio-visual, networking, and control solutions, with the ability to translate technical features into customer benefits.
  • Competence in using CRM systems, sales reporting tools, and standard office software to manage pipelines and account activity.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a professional and collaborative approach.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel to customer sites and events as required.
  • Experience working with distributors, integrators, or manufacturers in the AV or technology space is highly beneficial.
  • Valid right to work in the UK; a relevant qualification in business, sales, or technology is advantageous but not mandatory.
