Job Description:
Octagon is currently seeking a highly motivated Senior Account Manager to support the planning and delivery of a global Formula 1 hospitality programme for one of our key FSI clients.
The role is suited to an entry-to-mid level SAM with proven F1 hospitality experience, strong client servicing skills, and the confidence to manage budgets, suppliers, and complex guest logistics across a 24-race calendar.
Working as part of a wider account team, and supported by senior leads and junior resource, the candidate will help deliver a series of premium guest experiences across the global F1 season. They will be expected to lead defined workstreams and selected race programmes independently, while also supporting larger or more complex projects across supplier management, logistics planning, client coordination, and on-the-ground delivery.

We are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible and quickly build confidence across the client, internal team, and supplier network.
Key Responsibilities:

- Lead operational planning for selected Formula 1 hospitality race programmes, ensuring premium guest experiences, accurate documentation, robust logistics, and best-in-class delivery across a complex global calendar of race hospitality at -track programs, Off-track support, and Hot-Laps programs.
- Support strategic planning of programme and comms with Account VP and Account Director, who are supporting and leading on the account.
- Manage day-to-day client communication with confidence, escalating risks and decisions appropriately while maintaining strong relationships with client stakeholders, rights holders, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Plan and coordinate detailed F1 hospitality packages, including race tickets, paddock and garage experiences, guest communications, accommodation, transfers, restaurants, team appearances, and on-site schedules.
- Event development including (but not limited to) scheduling, logistics, health and safety, insurance, creative production, and briefing documentation providing in-depth brand relevant content and insight.
- Research, procure, and contract relevant third-party suppliers.
- Manage project budgets with confidence, including budget creation, tracking, supplier quotes, purchase orders, invoicing, reconciliation, and clear reporting of risks, variances, and approvals.
- Development and delivery of pre- and post-event reporting.
- On-site management of C-suite level guests.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

How we see the world
We live in a world where time is our most precious commodity, and our audiences’ patience has never been shorter. As an industry, we’ve never had to work harder to gain the attention of the people we’re trying to reach. The way we see it, there’s two ways to go about it. Attention is either bought or it’s earned. Paid attention ensures your brand will be heard – and that's a good start. But attention that’s earned ensures your audience actually listens to what you're saying. At Octagon, our purpose is to create work that earns attention. Through smart partnerships and generous ideas, we compete for, capture, and ultimately earn the attention of those who matter most. Have we got yours?
