Senior Account Manager (Grocery & Retail)

Location – London (Hybrid)

We’re looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our UKI New Verticals team. In this role, you’ll help us manage strategic relationships with major grocery and retail partners, driving their growth and developing a "best in class" value proposition for our customers.


About the Role

Responsibilities

You’ll be joining the New Verticals team, which looks after our Grocery and Retail partners in Deliveroo’s most mature market. You’ll partner closely with global functions to deliver cutting-edge results in a high-growth division. Here’s what your daily work might involve:

  • Strategic Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for a strategic Grocery or Retail partner, acting as a bridge between their needs and Deliveroo’s internal teams.
  • Performance Ownership: Drive business growth via proactive reporting, quarterly business reviews, and identifying key performance levers.
  • Marketing & Promotions: Lead the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and promotions as partners scale, collaborating with cross-functional marketing teams.
  • Customer Value Proposition (CVP) Development: Ensure partners maintain an attractive CVP by optimising selection, pricing, and service levels.
  • Expansion & Roll-outs: Own the execution of new site roll-outs, mapping coverage gaps to secure the successful expansion of partners’ footprints.
  • Internal Advocacy: Represent Deliveroo across your partner’s organisation while ensuring internal stakeholders are aligned to hit joint targets.

Requirements & Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas while remaining curious to grow in others:

  • Commercial Depth: 4–5 years of experience in account management or commercial roles, with preference for grocery or retail sectory expertise.
  • Data Fluency: Proficiency in analysing data to distill insights into clear, actionable recommendations for growth.
  • Partner Obsession: A proven track record of building effective relationships across organisation levels.
  • Strategic Agility: Ability to create high-impact strategies to drive joint business growth and test new ideas rapidly.
  • Collaborative Mindset: A strong team player who can motivate and work effectively in dynamic, high-growth environments.
