Role Overview

This crucial role supports premier global pharmaceutical and health technology companies, specialising in:

  • Oncology
  • Neuroscience
  • Type 1 Diabetes

You’ll contribute to:

  • Exceptional client service
  • Strategic health communications advisory
  • Project leadership
  • Cross-channel content creation (earned media, social storytelling, influencer programmes, internal comms, and crises management)

Key Activities:

  • Earned media strategy & execution (story ideation, journalist engagements, media angle development)
  • Social-first storytelling and digital-first campaigns
  • Influencer relations & activation
  • Regulatory compliance & crises management (EFPIA, FDA, PFPIA adherence)
  • Internal communication & thought leadership alignment

The Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Client Counselling

  • Serve as a trusted strategic advisor with deep industry knowledge
  • Develop and pitch high-impact programmes (thought leadership, brand narratives, awareness strategies)
  • Anticipate client needs and maintain proactive intelligence-gathering
  • Work cross-functionally with media teams, sharpening messaging and journalist strategies for critical milestones (clinical dates, congressional events, executive visibility)

Growth & Operational Excellence

  • Drive client retention & new business pitches through original strategies
  • Expand agency capabilities with tailored solutions, leveraging FleishmanHillard’s OMC networks and cross-industry expertise
  • Present agency leadership at client-facing meetings
  • Engage in external thought leadership opportunities to elevate brand authority
  • Oversee budget tracking, billing, and regulatory compliance across deliverables

Talent Cultivation

  • Mentor junior colleagues through guidance, feedback, and career development
  • Proactively contribute to an inclusive, high-trust team environment
  • Model leadership traits (curiosity, courage, collaborative accountability)

What You’ll Bring

Essential

  • Proven healthcare/pharma experience, ideally agency-side
  • Expertise in earned media (press materials, journalist relationships, crafting earned media strategies for Datanyce announces or corporate updates)
  • Ability to craft high-quality content across formats (press releases, internal decks, CMO social materials)
  • Digital acumen in social-first strategies, influencer marketing, and closed HCP platforms
  • Understanding of AI-driven communications trends and applications
  • Sharp problem-solving and strong project management with multi-tasking agility
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK and commit to a minimum of 3 hybrid days per week onsite at our Bankside office
