Job Description: Senior Account Manager

As a Senior Account Manager, you’ll own the primary relationship with one of our key high‑street retail customers. You’ll work in close partnership with retail buyers and internal teams to deliver joint business plans, drive profitable growth and ensure flawless operational execution.

This is a senior, high‑impact role where you’ll shape category direction, influence cross‑functional teams and play a key role in delivering our commercial strategy with a major customer.

Your Responsibilities

  • Build, manage and grow strong short‑ and long‑term relationships with key retail stakeholders
  • Deliver sales, profitability and operational targets in partnership with the customer
  • Develop commercial and category recommendations that feed into trading and category plans
  • Identify and deliver profitable solutions to commercial, operational and seasonal challenges
  • Support delivery of Joint Business Plans, contracts and overall business objectives
  • Represent the customer internally, influencing cross‑functional teams across Product, Marketing, Retail Merch and Customer Ops
  • Lead weekly alignment meetings, post‑implementation reviews and customer update meetings
  • Support the development and mentoring of team members
  • Take ownership of your own ongoing personal development

Your Accountabilities

  • Act as the key point of contact for the retail buyer and internal owner for all customer activity
  • Work collaboratively with the wider commercial team across other categories and channels
  • Line manage two Account Managers responsible for additional categories and channels
  • Contribute to and deliver the Joint Business Plan and trading plan
  • Deliver agreed revenue and margin targets
  • Manage activity within the customer cost budget
  • Support long‑term contract delivery and adherence

Your Key Relationships

  • Retail buyers (with secondary interaction with Product Developers and Technologists)
  • Commercial colleagues including Retail Merch, Commercial Managers and Customer Ops
  • Product and Creative teams
  • Supply Chain
  • Finance

To Be Successful You Will Need

  • Previous Account Management experience with a large retailer
  • Experience managing complex seasonal activity and large SKU ranges
  • Strong relationship‑building and communication skills
  • High levels of commercial acumen
  • Confidence working with ambiguity in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proven ability to interpret sales, customer and market data
  • Strong Excel skills
  • A dedicated, flexible and proactive approach

Please note - This is a full time position requiring a minimum of two office-based days per week (days may vary). UK travel will be required including retailer visits and occasional overnight stays and therefore a full, clean UK driving licence is also required.
