Senior Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) Blackpool | Up to £52,000 + Benefits | Manufacturing
Agility Resourcing is partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing business in Blackpool to appoint a high-performing Senior Accountant into a newly created position within its finance function.
The Senior Accountant will report directly to a commercially astute and engaging Financial Controller, this role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of the management accounts process, while contributing to the ongoing development of a robust, insight-led finance function.
The Senior Accountant Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management accounts process, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery
- Produce high-quality financial and management information to support strategic decision-making
- Deliver detailed cost and margin analysis, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities
- Partner with operational stakeholders to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance management
- Enhance financial controls, processes, and reporting frameworks
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with regulatory requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation and reporting efficiencies

The Senior Accountant Candidate Profile
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with a strong academic or professional track record
- Advanced Excel capability and strong financial modelling skills
- Prior exposure to manufacturing or cost-focused environments is advantageous
- Experience with ERP systems and process optimisation would be beneficial
- Commercially minded with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insight
