What you'll be doing

  • Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies across a diverse client base
  • Producing consolidated accounts for small and medium-sized groups
  • Preparing corporation tax returns and supporting tax compliance work
  • Reviewing VAT returns and assisting with client queries
  • Producing management information to support business decision-making
  • Managing your own workload, deadlines, and planning effectively
  • Liaising directly with clients and building strong working relationships
  • Supporting junior team members with technical guidance where required
  • Assisting with external audit queries and wider project work

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in practice
  • ACA / ACCA qualified or actively working towards qualification
  • Strong technical grounding with a proactive approach to development
  • Confident user of Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with Xero (essential)
  • Exposure to systems such as IRIS, Sage 50, QuickBooks or Alpha (desirable)
  • Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure while maintaining high levels of accuracy
  • Strong communication skills with a client-focused mindset
