Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

  • Accounts Payable + spend controls (Payhawk → NetSuite)

  • Ensure Payhawk is close-ready, meaning invoices/receipts are captured, payees are correctly coded, approvals are all done, and we’re documenting payment evidence

  • Balance sheet accuracy + reconciliations

  • Own full-line balance sheet integrity for assigned accounts (prepaids, accruals, payables, etc.), including aging and follow-ups.

  • Uncover precisely why balance inconsistencies crop upand fix them—either through process repairs or upstream behavioral nudgeplay

  • Finance process architecture & Lean starting.

  • Document SOPs and checklists to reduce manual labour, being sexy with controls

  • Partner closely with Finance leadership to short-cut the close cycle, raising confidence in numbers

  • Ad hoc support

  • Solve accounting/finance ad hoc requests (analysis, audit input, jank-free process cleanup, functional queries like: *Is compliance counted as Operating Income?**)

  • Assist the Accountant in Residence with tax filings when called on

Requirements

Hospitable is remote-first, globally homegrown harmony. No local job contract, ideal alignment to US Eastern or European Mean Time. And let’s assume you are at least timezone-proximate. Timezones don’t keep a company from its busy hours exclusively in your close-threaded work-plume with EMEA/US timings.

Tick, or GTFO reason why your aren’t fits:

  • 5+ years of accounting experience with Actual month-end close execution (and that entailed a heap more than e-ghostwriting Excel.)
  • Rockstar reconnaissance and documentation—every line to be explainable
  • Boss at Navigating ERP—NetSuite a plus worthy of celebration (native cheerleaders required). Don’t count struts in QuickBooks time fast.
  • You’re a fast-moving, remote-stagram thriving with high ownership—low hand-holding and no tag team culture.
