We're looking for a Senior Accountant & Financial Analyst to join our leadership team and help drive the financial performance of our growing business.
About the Role
This is more than a traditional accounting position. We're seeking a finance professional who enjoys both hands-on accounting and financial analysis. Approximately 60% of the role focuses on day-to-day accounting and finance operations, while 40% focuses on financial reporting, business analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and supporting management decisions.
Working directly with the General Manager, you'll play an important role in helping guide the financial health and future growth of the business.
What You'll Do
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Analyze business performance, product margins, and manufacturing costs
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Develop financial models and KPI reporting to support business decisions

Full-Cycle Accounting
- Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Complete account reconciliations and journal entries
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes
- Process bi-weekly payroll and government remittances
- Prepare year-end working papers for external auditors
Manufacturing & Operations Support
- Monitor inventory and standard costing
- Analyze production costs and inventory variances
- Support inventory reconciliations and product costing
- Assist with production planning, including milk purchasing
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business
Compliance & Administration
- Prepare HST, WSIB, EHT, and regulatory filings
- Complete Dairy Farmers of Ontario reporting requirements
- Maintain strong financial controls and compliance procedures
- Support ERP improvements and reporting automation
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- CPA designation (or working toward CPA) is preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Manufacturing experience is a strong asset
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Sage 50 or other ERP/accounting software
- Strong financial reporting and analytical skills
- Experience with inventory and standard costing is an asset

Salary Range - $50,000 to $75,000
