Our Infection Prevention division, including our BIOtAK subdivision, partners with businesses, institutions, and professionals to deliver top-tier decontamination, transportation, and support services to community and acute settings. BIOtAK specialises in advanced disinfection solutions, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety in healthcare environments.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of day-to-day finance activities and for the continual pursuit of improved controls and processes, ensuring the company’s financial position is robust, efficient, and fully understood internally and externally.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a small-business environment, managing multiple priorities, and being closely involved in period-end and reporting processes.

The role is part-time, between 20 and 26 hours per week, ideal for someone looking to work around school hours or similar.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee day to day cash management across Sterling and Euro bank accounts, including invoice financing and trade loans, debtor control, creditor payments, etc.
- Complete reconciliations and checks to ensure that information is accurate.
- Review monthly revenue accounting for all business divisions, including posting inter-company cross charges.
- Year-end processes including preparation of documentation as required for statutory accounts.
- Processing purchase invoices, sales invoices, and expenses.
- Payroll and Pensions administration.
- Support the Board in preparing reporting data.
- Support external accountants.
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders as required.
- Ensure communication is robust and effective both within the financial and other departments, enabling close and collaborative working.
- Problem solve to correct issues.
- Periodic sundry reports.
About you
- AAT Level 3 or 4 Qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Financial accounting experience.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels across the company and its subsidiaries.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines and managing competing priorities.
- Problem solving mindset, applying technical accounting to real life business context.

Desirable:
- Experience of an Oracle ERP system, preferably NetSuite.

The Company can offer a hybrid working model, with an expectation that colleagues attend the office for a minimum of 40% of their working time. During the first few months in the role, a greater office presence will be beneficial to support onboarding, and collaboration within the team.
Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year pro rata
