Senior Accountant - Remote
Due to extensive growth and acquisitions, Fusion Consulting Group are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant to manage a portfolio of eCommerce clients.
This role is fully remote.
The group has several subsidiaries ranging from Tax, Accounting, Legal, Financial Services and Recruitment. Our mission is to disrupt the disjointed Professional Services space.
Job Summary
The core purpose of the Senior Accountant is to provide sound financial, business and tax analysis to a select client base.
The Senior Accountant will be working with the processing team and will deliver accurate financial information using Xero and other packages. The role heavily involves the review of management reports, VAT returns and year-end financial data.
Working with our team of accountants, you will be required to complete end to end accounting and corporation tax tasks for a range of SME businesses, using industry leading tools.
The role of Senior Accountant will report directly to the eCom Team Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Handle a range of queries from your clients in a timely manner, including attending online meetings with clients to discuss and advise.
- Prepare all year end information in a timely manner and consider tax planning implications.
- Prepare and perform monthly reviews of management accounts for your client group.
- Prepare VAT returns for your clients and peer review VAT returns for others.
- Plan and manage the workload of yourself and your team to ensure all reporting and internal and external deadlines are adhered to.
- Prepare well considered commentary for specific clients based on their financial performance and discuss this with the client to assist in business growth.
- Ensure all internal KPIs are recorded and targets are met.
- Maintain awareness of current accounting and tax issues and ensure all CPD requirements are met through internal and external training.

This is a fast-paced role working with financially literate clients, requiring excellent teamwork, organisational and planning skills.
Some clients have complex VAT reporting requirements, so knowledge of eCommerce clients and cross-border selling is advantageous, but training will be provided.
Person Specification
The Senior Accountant should have strong accounting experience and a genuine commitment to delivering excellent service. You should demonstrate leadership, management and organisational skills. You should be a strong communicator and have the ability to explain complex financial issues in a way that is understood by non-accountants.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified) with 5 years experience within UK practice
- Very high standard of written English
- Excellent Excel
- Ability to work across a range of software packages
- Strong knowledge of VAT
- Ability to follow processes and to establish processes as necessary
- Excellent interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time, Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm (can be flexible for the right candidate)
