Senior Accountant - Mortgage Lender

They are looking for a Financial Accountant to support a high-performing, fast-paced finance team, offering broad exposure and genuine opportunity for rapid progression.

What you’ll do:

External Reporting Leadership: Take full ownership of the preparation of statutory accounts for the group and its subsidiaries, ensuring all deadlines are met. Regulatory Integrity: Responsible for the accuracy and timely submission of all regulatory reporting requirements within a complex financial services environment. Audit & Advisor Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors, managing compliance obligations and annual tax returns. Technical Advisory: Produce accounting and audit committee papers to address ad hoc technical queries and adapt to changing regulatory requirements. Process & System Innovation: Manage the "one source" statutory reporting system and drive efficiency through technological tools and system implementations. People Management: Lead and develop two direct reports, ensuring high standards across the finance control and reporting functions.
