A North West based Chartered Accountancy firm, the company provides comprehensive services ranging from self-assessment for individuals and freelancers to full accountancy support for medium-sized limited companies. Role Description
The Senior Accountant role is a full-time position based in MediaCityUK, Salford, Greater Manchester, with a hybrid working arrangement that allows a balance of office and work-from-home days.
The Senior Accountant will manage end-to-end accounting for a portfolio of clients, including preparation of statutory accounts, management accounts, VAT returns, and corporation and personal tax computations. Responsibilities include reviewing junior team members’ work, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations, and providing clear advice to clients on financial performance, tax planning, and business improvements. The role also involves overseeing month-end and year-end processes. Collaborating with colleagues across the firm, the Senior Accountant will help maintain high service standards and identify opportunities to enhance client relationships.

Qualifications
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) and solid post-qualification experience in practice.
- Strong technical skills in financial reporting, management accounts, VAT, and UK tax compliance.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience supervising or mentoring team members, with the ability to review work and provide constructive feedback.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail capabilities.
- Clear and confident communication skills for explaining complex financial information to clients and colleagues.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize workloads, and work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Prior experience with clients in creative, media, or leisure sectors is advantageous but not essential.
- Commitment to ethical practice, continuous professional development, and delivering high-quality client service.
