Senior Accountant (Outsourced Team)
FT Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join a growing professional services business in Aberdeen. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality financial support and helping businesses achieve their strategic goals.
The successful candidate will play a key role in providing outsourced finance and accounting services, building strong client relationships and supporting the development of junior team members. This position would suit a proactive and commercially minded professional who enjoys working closely with clients and delivering practical financial solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing management accounts and financial reports for a portfolio of clients
- Supporting statutory reporting and liaising with external auditors
- Preparing cashflow forecasts and financial models to support decision-making
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through proactive communication
- Supporting a range of client projects and business improvement initiatives
- Identifying opportunities to add value and introduce additional services where appropriate
- Managing workloads and supporting the development of junior team members
- Mentoring and coaching colleagues to enhance technical and client management skills
- Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver an exceptional client experience

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with experience gained within practice or industry. You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities and confidence managing client relationships. Experience using cloud accounting software and delivering technology-driven financial solutions would be advantageous. You’ll be organised, collaborative and comfortable working within a fast-paced and growing environment, with a genuine passion for helping clients succeed.
