FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT (12 Month FTC)
🎯 Essential Experience: Qualified accountant + Financial Reporting + Financial Services
💰 £60,000 - £75,000 + Benefits (incl. completion bonus)
📅 Contract: initial 12mths FTC
📍 London (Hybrid Working - 3 days office / 2 days WFH)

We're partnering with a leading international financial services business that continues to grow across Europe, USA, Asia, and the southern hemisphere. Backed by substantial long-term financial strength and a strong market reputation, the organisation offers exposure to complex reporting frameworks, international operations, and a collaborative finance environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to join a high-performing Financial Reporting team, gaining exposure to statutory/regulatory reporting and wider Finance initiatives such as a change and improvement programme.

Key Accountabilities
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting across management, statutory and regulatory bases
- Assist with period-end close activities including journals, reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Analyse financial results and investigate movements and variances
- Assist with internal and external audit requests and documentation preparation
- Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Investments, Risk and Operations teams
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and finance transformation activities
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requirements

Acquired Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Experience gained within financial services (possibly non-FS if regulated/complex/blue-chip company)
- Experience supporting month-end, quarter-end or year-end close processes
- Exposure to IFRS/GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills and confident use of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to tight reporting deadlines
- Collaborative approach with excellent communication skills
- Interest in AI-enabled finance processes and emerging technologies advantageous
