Senior Accountant
Senior Accountant (Interim)
Kensington, London | 6-Month Contract
About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a fast-growing premium retail business on an initial 6-month interim contract. This is a hands-on role supporting a busy finance team during a period of rapid growth and transformation.
Working closely with senior finance leadership, you'll take ownership of statutory reporting, group consolidations and the year-end audit while helping to strengthen the finance function.
- Location: Kensington, London
- Working Pattern: 3 days in the office
- Contract: Interim
- Duration: Initial 6 months, with potential to extend
- Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual statutory accounts across multiple entities.
- Prepare group financial accounts.
- Lead group consolidations across international entities.
- Manage the year-end audit process and act as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Oversee and improve bookkeeping processes.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Provide finance support during an ERP transformation project.

About You
You'll be a qualified accountant with strong technical accounting experience and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Essential
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified.
- Proven experience preparing statutory accounts.
- Proven experience preparing group financial accounts.
- Experience managing external audits.
- Strong multi-entity group consolidation experience.
- Able to start immediately or at short notice.
- Comfortable working in a lean, growing finance team.

Desirable
- Experience within retail, consumer or multi-site businesses.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or Xero.
- Experience working with international entities and multiple currencies.
