The Role
We are currently hiring for a Senior Accountant in our London office to deliver high-quality technical and regulatory reporting while driving continuous improvements across financial systems and processes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Monthly reporting delivery: Own the production of Lloyd’s underwriting results, including premiums and claims, ensuring accurate posting to the general ledger.
- Financial control & governance: Maintain robust balance sheet reconciliations and support the ongoing enhancement of SOX-compliant financial controls.
- Data analysis & insight: Analyse complex financial and underwriting data across systems to validate performance and resolve discrepancies.
- Systems & process improvement: Develop SQL queries and leverage tools such as Power BI to enhance reporting efficiency and data quality.
- Regulatory reporting: Lead the preparation of quarterly Lloyd’s and European regulatory returns and support statutory reporting and audit requirements.

What We’re Looking For
- Qualified accountant: ACA, ACCA, or equivalent, with experience in insurance or a Lloyd’s market environment.
- Insurance knowledge: Strong understanding of premiums, claims, reserves, and reporting cycles within a multi-entity framework.
- Technical expertise: Advanced Excel and SQL skills, with experience working across financial systems and data warehouses.
- Analytical mindset: Ability to interrogate large datasets, identify issues, and deliver practical solutions.
- Stakeholder management: Confident communicator, able to collaborate across finance, actuarial, underwriting, and IT teams.
