Company Description
Practice Group Ltd is focused on transforming traditional accountancy practices into calm, modern, scalable businesses. Rather than becoming the “next big firm,” the company acquires and supports practices with strong client relationships and recurring fees that are held back by founder-dependence, inconsistent workflows, and outdated systems. Practice Group creates low-friction operations through standardized processes, clear scopes and checklists, effective use of technology, and better visibility into capacity, work-in-progress, and deadlines. The business prioritizes fair pricing, joined-up client experiences, and the protection of people, reputation, and relationships. For founders, Practice Group offers a structured path to step back while maintaining staff care and client service, without stripping practices for parts.
Role Description
The Senior Accountant role is a full-time, on-site position based in South Africa. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end accounting processes, including general ledger maintenance, preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close activities. The Senior Accountant will handle VAT, tax computations, and compliance, while ensuring consistent application of accounting policies across multiple practices.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
