Senior Accountant | Future Client Manager
Wetherby, West Yorkshire
£35,000 - £45,000 DOE + Study Support
Full-Time | Permanent
Are you an experienced Practice Accountant looking for genuine career progression and the opportunity to develop into a Client Manager role?
Our client, a growing and modern accountancy practice, is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients and wants to take on greater responsibility while developing their advisory and client management skills.
The Role
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies
- Producing management accounts
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
- Corporation tax and personal tax compliance
- Supporting clients with Xero and other cloud accounting software
- Client onboarding and cloud accounting system implementation
- Acting as a key point of contact for client queries
- Supporting advisory and business planning projects
- Building strong client relationships with SME clients

About You
- Minimum 3 years' experience working within an Accountancy Practice
- Experience preparing statutory accounts for limited companies
- Experience producing management accounts and VAT returns
- Experience using Xero or other cloud accounting software
- Strong communication and client-facing skills

- ACCA / ACA Qualified or Studying
- Xero Certified
- Experience using IRIS or similar practice software
